Insurance
Claims answered, policies serviced.
Claims handlers, underwriting support, policy servicing, licensed customer service and compliance. Catastrophe surge cover, a system migration team, or the permanent hire who steadies a unit.
- Licences verified
- state adjuster and producer licences checked before anyone reaches your shortlist
- Surge ready
- catastrophe and backlog cover is one of the fastest things we mobilise
- Platform screened
- Guidewire, Duck Creek and Applied experience established, not assumed
Insurance
Volume arrives suddenly. The licence does not.
We staff claims, underwriting support, policy servicing, licensed customer service, compliance and analytics for carriers, brokers, MGAs and third party administrators.
Insurance staffing has two speeds. Surge, where a catastrophe or a backlog needs licensed people this week, and structural, where a unit needs an experienced hire it will keep.
Both hinge on two checks that cannot be hurried: the licence, verified with the state, and the platform, because a handler who has only worked in one claims system is slower for a month in another.

The vocabulary
What we verify and recruit against.
Licence first, platform second. Both are checked before a name reaches you, because both decide whether somebody can actually start.

Authority level tells you more about an insurance hire than years of service ever will. Ask what they could settle without a second signature.
Screening
How we screen an insurance hire.
Insurance resumes are full of transferable sounding language that hides real differences in line of business, platform and authority level. The screen exists to surface those three.
- 01
Line of business, precisely
Personal or commercial, property, auto, liability or specialty, and the complexity band. A homeowner adjuster is not a commercial property adjuster.
- 02
Licence verified with the state
Status, lines, expiry, reciprocity and continuing education. Checked at source rather than read off a resume.
- 03
Authority level established
What settlement or binding authority did they hold, and who reviewed the files above that level. It is the clearest measure of seniority in this industry.
- 04
Platform experience tested
Which claims or policy system, in what depth, and how recently. A month of relearning is a real cost during a surge.
- 05
A reference from a supervisor
The person who audited their files, who can speak to accuracy and to how they handled a difficult policyholder.
Straight answer
Where the market is actually tight.
What our recruiters see running these searches. Experience rather than a guarantee.
| Role | What the market looks like | Realistic shortlist |
|---|---|---|
| Policy servicing and administration | Available in most markets and quick to move. | Days to a week |
| Licensed customer service | Steady, though licence status and reciprocity often gate the start date rather than the offer. | One to two weeks |
| Underwriting assistants | Available. Commercial lines experience is scarcer than personal lines. | One to two weeks |
| Claims adjusters, personal lines | Reasonable supply, and the fastest surge population to mobilise. | One to two weeks |
| Commercial and complex claims | Tight. Authority level and line of business narrow the field fast. | Three to five weeks |
| Compliance and market conduct | The hardest insurance hire we run in most states. | Four to six weeks |
During a catastrophe response the constraint is almost never candidates. It is licence reciprocity and onboarding throughput, and both can be planned for in advance.
Shapes
Three shapes this usually takes.
Insurance demand is either an event or a structure, and they need different answers.
Surge cover
Licensed people mobilised quickly against a spike.
- When it fits
- Catastrophe response, a claims backlog, a renewal season, a system outage aftermath.
- The arrangement
- Temporary or contract. We are the employer of record and carry the licence file.
Project teams
A group for a defined programme.
- When it fits
- A Guidewire or Duck Creek migration, a remediation, a book transfer, an audit response.
- The arrangement
- Contract, typically six to eighteen months.
The permanent hire
The person a unit is built around.
- When it fits
- Senior adjusters, underwriters, compliance leads, service managers.
- The arrangement
- Direct hire, or contract-to-hire where authority level needs proving first.
Before you call
What to have ready before you call.
Knowing these turns a first call into candidates who can actually start.
- Line of business and complexity band, not just the job title
- Which states, and whether non resident licences are acceptable
- The settlement or binding authority the role carries
- Your claims or policy platform, and whether training is provided
- Whether this is surge cover with an end date or a permanent seat
- The rate or salary band you can approve without a second meeting

Questions
Before you call.
Licensed adjusters can move within days, and personal lines is the fastest population. The real constraint is usually licence reciprocity and onboarding throughput rather than candidate supply, which is why it pays to agree the plan before the season rather than during it.
