Engineering
Eight disciplines, three shapes, two locations.
We recruit across eight engineering disciplines, from drafters and technicians through to principal engineers and engineering managers. Manufacturers, plants, utilities and product companies, on permanent, contract and contract-to-hire terms.
Demand reaches us in three shapes. One specialist for a funded programme. A pod of two to five around a single workstream. Or a whole discipline stood up for a ramp up. On contract work the engineer stays our employee, so payroll, compliance and the end date sit with us.
Design, drafting, analysis and simulation can run onshore in the United States or from our India teams. Commissioning, field service and anything that has to be in the room stays local. We tell you which side of that line your scope falls on before you commit to anything.

Screening
How a recruiter screens an engineer.
Our recruiters are not engineers, and pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to waste your time. What they have instead is a structured technical screen built with hiring managers, and the discipline to use it every time.

The brief, in engineering terms
Which standards you work to, which CAD and PLM the person lives in, and whether the role owns drawings, reviews them, or both. Ten minutes here saves a fortnight later.

Work reviewed, not just read
Drawings, a model tree, a controls narrative, a validation report. Whatever the discipline actually produces, we ask to see it before you do.

Standards questioned, not assumed
A GD&T call-out, a safety circuit, a tolerance stack, a PPAP element. A short set of discipline questions separates the people who have done it from the people who have been near it.

Tool fluency checked honestly
Familiar with SolidWorks and has shipped production drawings from it are not the same claim, and a resume treats them identically.

A reference from a technical lead
The person who reviewed their work, not an HR contact who confirms dates. It is the single most useful call in the process.

Where the market is actually tight.
What our recruiters see when they run these searches. It is experience rather than a guarantee, and we would rather set the expectation here than on day thirty of a search.

Shapes

Engineering demand rarely arrives as one neat vacancy. These are the three shapes we see, and the arrangement behind each one.
One specialist
A single discipline for a defined piece of work.

None of this needs to be written up. Knowing the answers is enough, and it turns a first conversation into a shortlist rather than a discovery call.

- Site, hybrid or remote, and the real travel percentage rather than the hopeful one
